About us
The Danish Psychosocial Rehabilitation Information Centre is an independent governmental centre providing informations on issues relevant to the social psychiatric sector.
Mission
Our main task is to systemically collect, process and disseminate information on research, services and good practice within the public psychiatric sector.
Located at the heart of Copenhagen, the centre provides a natural bae and platform for co-operation. We also have a nationwide network and work closely with a range of organizations, professionals, information and research centres, NGOs and others.
Target Groups
Our primary target groups include employees, managers, educators and decision-makers working within the field of social psychiatry. Secondary target groups cover service users, carers end relatives, professionals, and cross-sector partners working with people affected by mental illness.
Structure and funding
The Centre's work is overseen and governed by the Board which is made up of representatives from the National Board of Social Services, Ministry of Health and Prevention, Danish Regions, Local Government Denmark, Danish Association for Mental Health - Mind as well as our Executive Director and employee representative.
We are funded by the Ministry of the Interior and Social Affairs. In addition, we receive extra fundingfor projects from other ministeries and private as well as public funds and trusts.
Staff
We are a small team of dedicated cross-professionals covering administration, social psychiatry issues as well as communications and advocacy. We have found that a small team of permanent staff plus the hiring of external consultants give us flexibility.
